Spiritual Grounding

To me, spiritual connection is embodied in family and the unconditional love we have for one another. As our family is the only thing we can truly rely on in this life, it is our responsibility to support and protect each other. No one else on this beautiful planet can do that for us, and family doesn't always mean blood relatives. To ground myself spiritually, I try to walk barefoot in nature as often as possible, especially in the ocean. But with my day-to-day responsibilities, I don't always get the chance to engage in this practice. What I have learned on my spiritual journey is that it can be worthwhile to intentionally release any negative or obstructive energy that no longer serves our highest purpose. Mother nature and the ocean can absorb and transmute this energy in ways that only divine souls can, acting as the healers of this planet. Recently, I realized that my cat, always so insistent upon being petted, isn't simply needy for attention. He is, in fact, attempting to heal us; as he spends time in the outdoors, his fur acts as a conductor to absorb and then subsequently release any energy that is no longer of benefit to us into the care of nature.
As we progress in our spiritual journey and understand how energy works, it is our responsibility to help support our families as deeply as our pets keep us connected to the Earth. We are growing ever closer to nature and those family members who may not be as far along in their spiritual journey or even aware of the power of energy. Extend love and compassion to them, hug them deeply, be as supportive as you can, and absorb the energy they are unable to release. We understand the power of healing and can transmute that energy with love and light for them, for nature, and for humanity as a whole. Share your understanding with your loved ones, even if they don't comprehend, and know that this is the way of a true healer: to understand and uphold those they love.
I will not shy away from sacrificing myself to preserve those dear to me, for I could not bear to see them succumb to the hardships of our world. Though entering the fire is a daunting prospect, it is in it that one can burn away the impurities of the soul and thus become a guiding light for those who seek a safe passage. Thus, driven by love for those in my circle and for other souls I have yet to meet, I stepped into the flames with courage born of conviction. I have often said that there is something worth dying for, and for those I love, nothing would stop me from protecting them from the trials of this world. With every fiber of my being, I extend my utmost love and adoration to those I call family and friends; no action of mine could ever fully express the love in my heart. May my light shine ever bright to guide and comfort those wandering this beloved Earth, and may we all be granted the wisdom to break dysfunctional cycles and establish true healing.
